PASBR2 needs to happen

Indeed it does, not sure why the first one got so much hate, but I really enjoyed it!

I felt that PSASBR tried too hard to not be a Smash clone. I wouldn't have mind if it utilized much of Smash's mechanics since they have proven to work well.

It would be awesome if PSASBR2 is made with Power Stone mechanics, though.

It got me thinking, what games do we playstation fans have that offer this level of fun in terms of local multiplayer party games?

Personally, I've had a lot of local multiplayer fun with these PS4 games:

Diablo 3 (great co-op on consoles)
LittleBigPlanet 3 (hilarious after a few beers)
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (one of my favorite IPs)
Borderlands Collection (such a great shooter and co-op experience)
Resogun, Dead Nation and Super Stardust Ultra (Housemarque games in general)
Street Fighter V
Mortal Kombat X
Rayman Legends
Rocket League
Minecraft
TrackMania Turbo
Trials Fusion
Trine 2
TowerFall Ascension
Gauntlet
Helldivers
Resident Evil 5
LEGO games

Though, there aren't really any(?) titles within the specific "party mini games" genre such as Nintendoland, Mario Party and Pokémon Stadium 1+2.

We really need a new Crash Bash

Playstation all stars with ring outs and damage deaths instead of that stupid special move system. Just make it Smash Bros with playstation characters! Also get Crash, Spyro, Cloud, Snake, old Dante, etc. to join. It's advertising for any future games those companies would release that increases public awareness and it helps the game. It's a complete win win for third parties to be in.

Completely agree. In trying to move away from Smash it embraced a really weird mechanic. The special move system sunk the game. Like you said, just make it Smash Bros. with PlayStation characters. If it gets accused of plagiarism, so what? At least it will be fun to play.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Overcooked... well, get the game and your friends and yourself will have a blast.

yeah I didn't want originality.  I wanted a fun game with characters that I grew up with.  I love Smash Bros for that even though I'm not a big fighting game guy and I would love PSAllstars for that.  The downside is that third parties are dicks sometimes about their characters even though it could only be a positive for them.  Like either Activision will make a new Crash or not but either way they can get adverstisement or some royalties from a game without doing any work other than signing off.  There's no scenario where it makes people buy LESS of the game with that character, so why not let Sony give you free advertising?  I hated that the first game got third string guys or ones specifically pretaining to upcoming games and not either both or the version that was synonymous with their game.  Also stages should have been more interactive.

Super Smash Bros-Inspired “Brawlout” Now Coming to Consoles in Q3 2017

Yeah, I did feel that way when I only had my PS3. While there were some games I played with my friends, I still missed MP games I had on my Nintendo consoles. Sony could use some more, I feel, whether from Sony themselves or 3rd party.

I wouldn't say no to more party games from Sony, though indie devs have supplied more than a few, like Sportsfriends, Overcooked & Stikbold.

I plugged in the WiiU again yesterday after a long hiatus. A group of friends came over and we jammed out Super Smash bros and Nintendoland. It was the most fun I'd had in ages!

Lol no. PS4 is for lone wolves. All the games that I own dont have MP at all or is just Online.

I even have 4 controllers, and I have them because I dont like to wait for charge! :D
