yea starcraft sold 5 million, and it's still selling, but i dont' expect any other game to pass it. It's been selling for how many years now and it's still extremely popular. I have to be honest I don't expect Starcraft 2 to be half as successful in korea.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

I wouldn't discount Starcraft 2 I think its sales will be huge. However Starcraft is so ingrained in Korean gaming culture it might take a while before the pro players transfer over to it. It wont be an overnight transition like some games have. It will be a gradual shift that will take years most likely.

Back on topic. WOW is appraoching 10 million subscribers, I seriously doubt that Blizzard will release a sequel for a very long time. I believe the second expansion will get the userbase over 10 million and that its growth will continue albiet more slowly for years to come. Even when the game begins its decline I doubt they'll quickly create a sequel. They'll more likely leverage the hardcore fanbase with some more expansions and try and maintain its profitability.

WoW is already over 10 million and has been for a few months now. If they ever decide to start leveraging the new expansion they will get to 11 or 12 million because of returning players.

A WoW2? I highly doubt it anytime soon. Blizzard needs to work on a new Diablo, and I've heard rumors of a Diablo MMO awhile ago. WoW is frankly too successful to make a sequel right now. You wouldn't really play WoW and WoW2 at the same time. But you would probably play WoW and Diablo MMO at the same time lol. Starcraft 2 is coming out soon, so Diablo has to be next in line for something! I think so anyway.

I'd rather have Diablo 3 or Warcraft 4...

It won't be a Diablo MMO. Diablo is hack'n'slash and that won't translate to how Blizzard keeps true to their games. I love Diablo for the fast grind and massive slaughter, not the redundant gameplay that a WoWish Diablo MMO would entail.

Not sure why a "hack'n'slash" would not fit in the MMO arena. Have you ever done any grinding in any MMO? Very much an exercise in killing hundreds of enemies for no reason other then XP and loot.

Blizzard is the only development shop that I know of that has never failed. Every game they release has been huge. I am sure whatever the next thing is, it will be great.

My personal hope... Diablo MMO or Diablo 3.
