Is there any news on it being in development? If you know anything tell people about it.

I bet it would be an improvement upon the original which looks dated regarding the Graphics.

There is no infomation regarding WOW2. I imagine Blizzard are working on it but I wouldn't expect to see it this side of 2010, WOW is just so popular there is no need for a sequel. There is however an expansion pack coming out this year titled Wrath of the Lich King.

They can just keep adding content with expansions. They could even update the graphics with an expansion. Current player do not want to start their character over again, they just want more content.

When Everquest 2 came out, most people failed to switch. They just recently released an Everquest 1 expansion recently even though Everquest 2 was released over 3 years ago. Asherson's call 2 was released and shut down after just a few years, Asheron's call 1 is still there.

What would you need a sequel for, when you can just keep cashing in on expansions. An expansion would make the people who have spent countless hundreds of hours upset that then need to start over with a new game.

If they saw the need to make even more obscene amounts of money, they should start working on the World of Starcraft MMO.

^World of Starcraft man i so much want that game if it is launched. I would play it 16 hours a day.

blizzard is making a new mmo- rumors have it anywhere from wow2 to world of starcraft to diablo's universe...

wow2 would be a HUGE mistake imo for blizzard Sequels to mmorpg's(the few that we have had) do not fair as well as the original..

that said, the character models in wow could use an upgrade.

WoW 1 is bad enough.... why another? Diablo MMO would be far better, they have more to work with, considering its already an RPG.

I agree with those people posting above. I doubt they'll make a WoW2, sequels tend not to do well in mmo's.

I think I'd lean more towards starcraft if they made another one since they probably woudln't compete between each other quite as much.

It won't be a Diablo MMO. Diablo is hack'n'slash and that won't translate to how Blizzard keeps true to their games. I love Diablo for the fast grind and massive slaughter, not the redundant gameplay that a WoWish Diablo MMO would entail.
