Whats weird to me is how recently I've been thinking about this trilogy and my unrelenting love for the lore growing up. Can't wait to bring this to the modern gen (:

COol, all 4 mainline titles (is Jak X a canon story lol?)

Need the Ratchet and Sly Cooper games to follow.

They are adding the racing title as well.

Predicted 15+ million lifetime-sales for God of War:

Always good to get more PS2 games on PS4!

Jak II and 3 are OK, but pale in comparison to Precursor Legacy. In my mind, it's the best 3D platformer after the greats from Nintendo, Rare, and Double Fine. In fact, I'd argue it's Naughty Dog's greatest title.

Sweet! Now I can double up on some more trophies! XD

The first one is my favorite as well. I wish they would have stuck with that formula more for the other two. Jak II is my least favorite. Part 3 at least had a lot more variety and story, and didn't feel like it was just ripping off GTA III.

You and me both, brother. It was such an excellent formula. Jak II was basically Grand Theft Auto, as you said. The third game was an improvement, for sure, but not nearly as memorable as the first.

For me Jak 2 was the best one. it built on everything atht was good abput the first one and added so much to it.

Hey! That's cool! Now give me Sly!

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I see this sentiment shared often but honestly, can't really agree on this one - if you played the games as they came out, Jak 2's "GTA" like open world was pretty fresh and uncommon for the time. But more importantly, when Jak released I was a very young teen/pre-teen. Jak 2 and 3 literally matured in theme parallel to my generation and the darker appeal really caught me.

edit: I answered some stuff you didn't talk about d: oops. Definitely agree with you about these sitting at the top as far as platformers go.

Pretty much same as above. My teens were spent maturing with the series.

Yes. I love all 3 games dearly, Jak 2 was the pinnacle but 1 & 3 are excellent as well.

Fair enough. We'll have to agree to disagree :)

I'd also like to give a shout-out to Daxter on PSP, which did a great job capturing the essense of the series on a smaller scale.
