Considering pc players will be able to download a pretty well working version of this in 2018 for free should Nintendo release a pc port that allows mods?

Pc players who want it are going to get it regardless. Might aswell make a lot of money from it.

What do people think?

I don't understand why you keep insisting in such a nonsense idea

The reality is, not only Nintendo would never let this happen but also it wouldn't make sense since very few people is gonna be playing this game on emulators compared to the people is gonna be playing it on a console, like maybe not even a 2%, since not everybody is into emulators or even knows about Cemu existence, not everybody wants to suffer the problems emulation gives specially when they are early and not everybody has a PC powerful enough to run this decently. Also not everybody is a thief.

Is it really that low the amount of people who will use emulators?  I heard it's quite high.  Also please don't insult my idea.  It's a suggestion and I don't appreciate you calling it nonsense.

But is it nonsense since anyone that knows anything about Nintendo knows that it would never happen, for obvious reason, they push their hardware with their software, your ides goes against the company, one thing is to make little spin off games on smartphones to rise brand awareness and other to put your biggest game ever (and the biggest reason to get your new console) complete on PC, is not meant to be an insult, it really doesn't make sense.

There was once a time we were told it's nonsense to suggest Nintendo would ever release pokemon and Mario on Android and iOS.  Please don't suggest possible ideas are nonsense.  It's insulting.

@fabien

Or buy a Wii U.  The Wii U is an attractive purchase with its larger and appealing library.

A lot of patience probably. I won't play a modded version, yet perhaps it will show there is interest and get someone at Nintendo and Ghibli excited enough to make a real game. Botw engine with a mix of Monoke, Kiki, Spirited away, Castle in the sky, Howl's moving Castle, Nausicaa and Tales from Earthsea, so much material to draw from.

Has a Ghibli game ever happened before?

Ni No Kuni was a collaboration by Ghibli and Factor 5 with hand drawn cutscenes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUEjhptQmNk (starts at 45 seconds)
The last time reaching a cutscene in game felt really rewarding :)

The game itself was decent, I hope the sequel can expand on the Ghibli magic. And good news, no emulator needed, same day PC version confirmed. Yet I'm a bit concerned about Ghibli's involvement. In 2015 they weren't on board https://www.destructoid.com/new-ni-no-kuni-coming-to-ps4-without-famed-animation-house-studio-ghibli-324507.phtml, now they are yet doing the pc version http://www.pcgamer.com/former-studio-ghibli-talent-is-bringing-ni-no-kuni-2-to-the-pc/ Odd.

Doesn't seem to have the same hand drawn quality, nor the magic unfortunately

Impa in Botw is much closer to Ghili magic.

Is the PC so poorly provided of good games, to the point where people have to actually spend their time using a half baked system to allow them to play the best game on the market?

Who would have thought, after all, that even the most powerfull hardware in the world won't make the players happy and satisfied... PC Master Race is just a vessel with little content?

This is almost as bad as the poster who claimed "PC is a dying platform".

No PC isn't devoid of good games at all, it has it's own plethora of titles, but as others have already pointed out, emu's are a form of preservation for games, as well as being able to play them many years later down the road at higher levels of eprformance as well.

I know you aren't living under a rock, so you should know that PC has it's own set of good games, unless you are exactly like that guy who claims PC is dying as the type that willingly ignores what is going on with PC gaming, yet wants to spread negativity about it.

I'm ready to play Wii u games on the pc

I have nothing against that statement, but the desperation shown daily about BoTW performance in CEMU tells a different story, a story about players who are avidly waiting to play a game which is exclusive to another system. And that my friend, is just sad, especially since the PC has a "plethora" of so many good games...

I'm simpathetic, like I said, so much hardware, and no BoTW or HZD or Persona 5.... basicaly, no top games

"desperation "? What desperation are you even talking about?.

There are multiple sites that give updates on the progress of the engine as well as the games being emulated, ebcause quite frankly, that's what people do when they are working on something, they talk about it and give frequent updates, especially when said engine is being funded from people interested in said engine.

What's sad is your fous on tossing negativity onto the fire when it coems to PC gaming and talk of it, that you'd come out from udner a rock and talk about them not having good games or anything to play for themselves.

Also you took my "plethora" out there so I'm going to definitely assume you mean ill to this discussion in general.
