Perhaps I'm wording it wrong. Ofcourse Nintendo didn't screw Switch owners, never said that. What I said is that releasing the WiiU version carried a risk for Nintendo because of Cemu. The risk is too small to make a significant impact, yet there are people happy with the WiiU version to play in Cemu. How Switch owners can get screwed is a scenario for next gen, Switch 2 if you like. Consider Swich has a fully working emulator by then which is hugely popular. Perhaps better to only release the next transitional Zelda on Switch 2 only and not on last gen hardware which is no longer 'safe'.

Why aren't developers allowed to lock their software to a specific system? Why don't they have a say in how their work can be enjoyed?

Perhaps you need to check your priorities and enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played instead of worrying about what resolution it's running in.

This goes both ways. Why shouldn't I play the game the way I enjoy it? I've bought it. I've payed for their work. Have I no rights in this matter?

You are correct, if you've a Wii U/Switch and bought the game, then you've paid for their work, and have the right to play it in your hardware of choice.

Change title, 15-20fps is rubbish. Give it another year.

Seems like accurate emulation of the WiiU to me.

The better PCs are doing like 23-25 fps on avg, without the "engine cheat".

With the cheat on (speed up is big) alot of people are running it smooth.

Id say if you have a monster pc, its perfectly playable atm... judgeing from the videos Ive seen.

So, is it playable right now from beggining to end? because if it is, I will skip my WiiU and stick my brand new copy on my PC right away.

You have the rights you payed for and agreed to in the eula. Maybe some day you'll be a developer and understand how it feels to have the project you worked so hard on being made available online to play in a 'better' way from day 1. Paying for someones work doesn't mean you own their work to alter and distribute as you see fit.

There's a fine line between enthusiam and exploitation, making a brand new game available in an emulator and promoting it is closer to the latter.

I don't have a problem with emulators for old games and systems, yet I find this a very slippery slope and a bit disrespectful.

Except WiiU is on 30fps like 85% of the time (mostly because villages and barns, out on the wild is way more stable) and dips below 20 are very rare.

Great, now you are gonna discover the true face of early emulation, the one they don't show you here, be prepared to be fustrated.

Since I am already frustrated because the Wii U was a let down, a lil more frustration I think is in order.  I play online games with 600+ ms delay.  You merely adopted frustration. I was born in it, molded by it. I didnt see good FPS/graphics until I was a man, by then it was nothing to me but blindness.

I don't understand the correlation bertween WiiU being a let down (for you) and this, but ok.

Wait a minute. I have most certainly NOT agreed to an eula when buying a video game. That's one. And second - when playing on an emulator you do not alter or distribute it in any way. Heck modding a game is a direct alteration. Let's ban mods then?

Thread has gone quite off topic for about a day now, all on the subject of "piracy", when the thread is strictly about the progress of a game on an emulator, not Piracy talk.

I would really love for us to get back on topic, save the Piracy talk for another tirade.
