They threw a bone to the Xbots with "more vibrant". Face it, the different versions of cross-plat games are always going to be a little darker or lighter than the other. What, PS3 can't display as many colors or something? B f'ing S.

Damn i think i will give GTA 4 a miss if this is the case. Expect Ninja Gaiden 2 to be also banned or edited just like Dark Sector got banned in Australia.
It sucks that the Australian bureaucrats banned Dark Sector. That means Aussies will need to get illegal imports of genuine games from US or Europe.
What exactly will be edited though? Surely the difference's wont be major, just reduced blood and language I would hope.
Most likely the US version of the game will be region free. It is that way on a lot of games. e.g. I bought a copy of my Bioshock (US 360 ver.) to play on my JP 360. I'm looking at picking up COD4 (US 360 ver.) to play on my JP 360. I'd pre-order GTAIV for the 360 (US ver.), but I'm waiting to see if it will be region free or not.

Usually, they test games for each regions consoles to see if they work or not.

Remove all the F words. the swearing is what makes the game combined with over the top blood and gore in the violence of GTA 4.
BTW In real life every sentence I speak every second word is F that comes out my mouth.
I don't understand why there is legal censorship today. Warning labels should be enough.
The US doesn't have legal censorship, but it does exist in a more economic sense. If a rating is above M (or movie above R), your game/movie basically has no where to sell.

A couple of bleeped words and blurred tits wouldn't stop me from buying this game. This is Game of the Year material. Great gameplay, Great story and Great Freedom. Yes the editing does suck balls but it shouldnt prevent you from buying it.
