Different director, Tabata completed FFXV and made alot of changes to the original combat system designed by Nomura. Nomura is known for making excellent action RPG combat systems in Kingdom Hearts.

Eh no the combat in KH is kinda shitty. Nomura isn't good at much of anything. He is a one trick pony and his trick sucks.

Thats your opinion, and Im sure an opinion few have.KH combat is excellent and engaging. The problem lies with more with Tabata in my opinion.I didnt like Type-0 and he was the director.

Nomura also directed Dissidia and that game was an excellent 3D fighting game.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I still hope that Square Enix will one day continue to make real JRPG's with the fast paced but round based battle systems found in FFI-IX.
I hate action based combat and even more I hate the slow and boring round based combat that FFX/XIII/XIII-2 had to offer. And I also don't like job systems because they require endless grinding.

If the combat is fast paced, it can be played by everyone even if it is round based. Round based combat defines Final Fantasy for me and makes it enjoyable.

Not to mention. All Turn based games should have fast forward built in. Why do people praise Brave Default, so much. The grind and turn based is there. But, if your impatient. Or don't have the time. Fast Forward all the animations. The Best Of Both Worlds.
