Nintendo switch just need to embrace and focus on Indie games to fill in the release gaps. Beside for Nintendo fans software drought is common by now and quality titles is worth the wait.

No PS4 released with just about as much content. They will have to keep it up though and can't get lazy.

Disagreed, PS4 launched with 3 exclusives from Sony themselves and big 3rd party support.

I think people will realize what I say once they're finished with Zeruda and there's nothing else to play.

You know that's going to take a while for most people right?

Nah, I think it's fine they released it now. At least from where I stand, there is a steady flow of games I'm interested in buying or at least trying out throughout the year.

I've already got plenty to burn through just with Zelda (which I can see myself easily pouring 80-100 hours into) and Fast RMX. Then there's - I am Setsuna, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (battle mode!), Has Been Heroes, Binding of Isaac, Skyrim, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, Yooka-Laylee, Sonic Mania, Steamworld Dig 2, Toe Jam and Earl: Back in the Groove, and a handful of other indie titles that look pretty sweet just in 2017.. I'm set for the year already. And this is pre-E3 mind you!

No, this is the perfect time of the year to play a huge game like BotW. At the pace I'm going It's going to be a 200 hour game.

I've seen console launches with a ton of games I didn't want to play. At least the Switch launched with a game I REALLY wanted to play. The other features will come but I'm having more fun right now with Zelda (I probably could have gotten the WiiU version but can I play that version at work? No!) than I have had with any other console at launch.

-And I've gotten every single console/portable since the PS1 (aside from the original Xbox from 2001)

Haven't had a single hardware issue yet, either. Knock on wood.

Zelda? Mario Kart? Mario Odyseey? Xenoblade? Skyrim port? ALL AT LAUNCH? that's just stupid, too topheavy.

I think it would have been nice if the Mario Kart port had been ready at launch or something but personally am really digging my Switch. Zelda, Fast RMX, and Snipperclippers are fun enough to kill some time with

if someone is ONLY gaming on the Switch then maybe its going to be a slow few months, but the Switch for me seems like the perfect add on to PC gaming. Good balance.

No, because delaying it would give them even more negative press

even if more rough edges were polished, there will be no games to fill the gap for 2017 from the Wii U or 3DS

20 games at launch.
8 exclusive new games.

Just because these are not COD/Madden/Assassin'sCreed/Batman/(fill in other random holiday yearly title) doesn't mean Switch haz no gamez. There is plenty of content and what looks to be a steady stream of games for the rest of this year.

Not sure why people ignore indie games. These have filled the vacuum left by dead 3rd parties as big 3rd parties can only focus on the multi-MM big titles or yearly iterations to stay profitable. Indie game, like any other, have many that are fantastic and fun as well as those that are meh.

Switch launched at a great time and all of the launch sales records being broken in each region support that decision. Plus, any other big title launching with Switch would have been dwarfed by Zelda. It actually makes sense for the smaller indie titles to be launch partners in this scenario. This way when summer/fall hit, people will be ready for the other big adventures.

You can launch with as many games as you want it's what's worth playing. So IMO they are equal and I don't even own a switch but I did own a PS4 on launch day. Also I said "just about" so while PS4 was slightly better it wasn't that much better.

I got Zeruda on my Wii U, so for me there's nothing. I cancelled my Switch pre-order.

8 exclusive new games, at launch? I only know of Bomberman, 1-2 Switch and forgot about Snipperclips. Isn't Fast RMX an enhanced remake of the Wii U game?

Besides, Switch would've broken the sales records in late 2017 too, only difference would be greater momentum going into early 2018.

While the Switch could have used one more big title(which could happen to be announced at E3), I would go with no.The Switch has great indie support, and is tempered with big titles though the year.It would say its as good as it could get.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
