Forums - Gaming - Kotaku: Nintendo acknowledges Joycon connectivity issues.

6 hours and zero issues.

Im using the switch with Pro controller so havent had the issue....  BUT....  RIIGGHHHT nintendo....

My entertainment console consists of:

a 4K SMART TV getting all apps via WIFI

PS4, PSTV, Gaming Rig, Macbook Pro on the coffee table ALL WIFI

THE CABLE AND WIFI ROUTER.

Kids bedroom all have PC's, Tablets and phones running WIFI.

So apparantly Nintendo believes people are going to ge rid of their daily life tools to make the joycons work?  Whomever posteed that list of "fixes" should be fired.  While I love my Switch and hope it does well, this level of incompetence is a concern.

Heh...funny story, I had my cat sitting on the Joy-con grip while I was playing Zelda earlier, and had some interference problems. Turns out it was a problem with my setup, but I did wonder for a while if the Switch is prone to cat interference.

OT: I had my dock set up behind the TV initially, which caused some interference issues, but after I changed my setup around, I've yet to have any issues. It seems the issue is largely physical interference, though Nintendo is being cautious by listing anything else that has potential to mess up a connection. I have a load of electronics near the Switch dock, so I assume I would see more issues if that was the case.

Final Step: Ensure to remove your house from the equation. Just do away with it. The Switch is your only worry now.

The majority of users seem to have no problem, but it is really baffling to me the amount of bad news surrounding tiny aspects of the switch. The dock scratches the screen, joycons desync, it can't be in the same vicinity as other devices emitting other rays, it seems to be really finicky and possibly even rushed to market. I hope a lot of these issues are quelled within the upcoming months. Hopefully there'll be an updated sku by december when I get one.

That one's a bit issue for me. Especially considering that Nintendo had a similar issue with the original 3DS model. The bezel around the bottom screen would scratch the top screen. A travesty! They should definitely know better by now.

Hopefully future updates can make it work better, but at least Nintendo knows this is an issue
