I think it did matter this time around though.
Microsoft is dropping Scorpio at the end of the year with some luck, so launching in Q1 gives Nintendo a good 6+ months of winning the news cycle, which should translate to more sales

hate the Trump personality poster thing but whatever. I agree that a system launch at an unorthodox time of the year makes the overall calendar a lot more interesting and filled up though

Damn, the rumors were true about if you fapped while eating ice cream and playing BoTW, you would get teleported to another dimension.

But yea, I personally like console launches before holiday cause holidays already have tons of things I look forward to but the rest of the year is pretty neh
