Forums - Gaming - Does Breath of the Wild have the most boring/least memorable OST in the franchise?

The OST in the game makes sense. It is subtle and signals gameplay events when in gameplay sequences, and then has the fun orchestrated trailer-like sequences in cut scenes. I did not think I'd like it as much as I do, but I definitely do. It works with the ambient animal sounds in the environments you are in very well. And the remixes of old Zelda music in the game are awesome.

I think it's unique and doesn't follow the same tropes of other open world game music. I've been playing the Wii U version and the music, imo, is some of the best in the series. Specifically the town themes, and the Shieka Assassin Battle. Zora's Domain and the Rito Village sound the best they have every sounded.

I think this one of the games where turning off music and listening to the sounds of the wilderness will serve me best anyways, so I'm not really concerned, but that's just my opinion.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

No idea, as I haven't heard any of the tracks. I'll get back to you on that.

I speak for myself, but I really liked the trailer music, have been waiting to get my hands on the full OST ever since..

What I don't like is that music won't be playing throughout the game actually :p

That's one thing I'm hoping for. Sometimes I just want to hear the environment.
