For me, sports games are the prime example of a game you play on the sofa with friends, not on sitting in front of a computer. Madden was never huge on the PC.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
My gf bought me NHL 08 for the PC. It is a clear joke as it's almost impossible to configure your gamepad properly.
Even Konami (a console company) did better than EA with its PES ports.
I thought you were talking about Sims 3 as the Sims should remain on the PC. The console versions suck.
Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)
Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U
Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY
Allow me to summarize what the standard replies to this thread will be...
PC Fanboys: "PC is not dying DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION STEAM DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION STEAM also suck it kiddie console players"
PC Haters: "lol PC is dying"
Everyone else: "Who the hell cares? EA sucks no matter what platforms their games are released on."
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Haha nice one.
Yeah, let's face it, no one cares about EA, and those that care about Madden buy it on consoles. When Will Wright stops making kickass PC games then I'll care. Till then, why is this news?

Disregarding the fact that Madden isn't EA's biggest title.....
The EA-NFL exclusivity contract required games released for all platforms. Isn't this in violation of that agreement? Or is it possible PC was singled out as an optional platform for whatever reason?
Wow, that's a bit of a surprise. I played Madden 2003, 2004, and 2005 on PC, and enjoyed them all. After 2005, they took out the option of using custom playbooks in franchise mode, and I stopped buying them. I've always hoped they'd reinstate that option, in which case I'd start buying them again, but I guess this is the final nail in the coffin. Sadness.
