If you let it scrobble what ever you listen to that isn't rock, it doesn't matter it will send you in the right direction... even if the community on the site is smaller for said genre.
Thus I'm kind of oblivious to the amount of users for genres I don't listen to. Its thanks to this site I've found music that is a really good fit for me, and I probably wouldn't have ever heard of any of it otherwise.
