oh, I see, it's also an estimate by sony. 3.7m is an awful lot.

well, obviously - nobody tracks every single sale of every retailer (although it shouldn't be impossible in this day and age), so it all is estimates

maybe early numbers from the tracking firms were lowballing PS4 sell-through a bit and in reality it ended up a bit higher than that
