Real life is very depressing. Maybe it's because I have general anxiety disorder, but I am constantly worried about environmental destruction, extreme poverty, the rise of racism/xenophobia and even things like the eventual destruction of the Sun and Earth. I'd say that dark and gritty is much more what the world is like than bright and beautiful, at least when compared to what the world could be like.

omg lol the whole thread is about how games with colors are realistic too, and with colors I mean "fantasy" areas like blood and wine, just to give you an example that dlc is praised because of the fantasy area and how colorful the game is, but the environments are as realistic as the main game, but for gamers the definition of realistic is dark and gritty. Another example maybe not a game, but the dark knight is "realistic" because of the dark tone? lool the whole trilogy is full of fantasy shit but because of the tone it's considered "realistic"

See the difference? No talking shit about games that are dark and gritty, because that's part of reality, but for gamers that's the main definition and that's stupid because realism has a lot of characteristics. Maybe this is more clear and people will understand, next time I will be less cryptic cause people will make their own assumptions about my thoughts, my bad I guess.
