Sun and Moon should be on the poll. All the backend 3DS sales should be credited to this game.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

while it did sell great I think X and Y did more for the systems life and legacy than Sun Moon did, (at least from what we can infer from Sun Moon being out for only a few months)
