It looks awesome. But there was really no reason why they couldn't make a game that played like the Sega Genesis games, while using proper 2017 graphics technologies. That pixelated look needs to go away. It is way overused these days. This game could have looked glorious with proper HD sprites.

Well, there was Sonic 4, episodes 1 and 2, as well as Sonic Generations, which used more modern graphics, so one going back to Sonic's roots seems like a nice return.
