It's such a shame that the game keeps getting more and more enticing yet they won't drop the damned fee.

Looks great.
Would love to play it, if it wasn't paid, paying for the game, then keep paying to be able to play it, and paying plus to be able to play on PS4... yeah, no.

My sentiment exactly. All MMORPGs should follow the Guild Wars model. Pay for the game once, then never have to pay again (aside expansions), and enjoy it all you want.

That being said, I think this game doesn't require you to have PS+ to play it, as long as you pay the game's fee.

It doesn't require plus? So Sony gets a share of the fee SE charges?

Not sure how it goes, but yeah. You only have to pay for the game and the game's fee in order to play it, not PS+. That being said, if you're willing to play online on the PS4 for anything else, you have to pay PS+, so that's two fees you have to endure just because FF XIV requires mandatory payment.

The fee is the reason why the game is getting this amazing support to begin with :P

I tried FF14 when it re-launched, I mean, after they fixed. Super boring.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I agree, paying for it once and if you want the expansions buy it, that's how every other kind of game is, and most of them provide online support just as well, so even if FF XIV is full focused, they shouldn't charge for it.

FFXIV does not require PS Plus. The Fee is a good thing, as it helps keep out pay2win, it keeps the servers working, and every couple months new content is added for free, and those added content can be considered as big as an expansion compared to other free to play and buy to play mmos.

You can buy it and try it out for 30 days free. By that time you can complete A Realm Reborn, and probably Heavensward if you stick to the main story only.

The fee sucks big time because, again, games like Guild Wars 1 and 2 only asked for an entry price of purchasing the game and got amazing support without the need for any fees at all. Kept out pay2win (GW2 less than GW1, though), has stable servers working and some months you get new and free content added.

A large pizza would cost more than how much it would cost to play FFXIV for a month lol.
