If they keep multiple paths, make it tied to characters. Like, "so andso needed to be recruited in ch 9 and live to ch 12 to cause x to happen." I would like the elimination of children mechanic, for avatar to oncd again be relegated to tactitian, return of weapon durability, and an 'adaptable ai' . By that i mean if u use a knight that kills the majority of enemy units, the unit will gain 'renown' and future enemy units will be prepared to deal with that class especially, (ie weilding more hammers and the like)

I wouldn't mind having a similar art style to TMS#FE. Just replace that bright theme with what ever dark story it will have. Dungeon and moving around should be in 3D third person.

I would love the My Castle feature to continue! Maybe expand the supporting system (Would love to make yaoi and yuri couples but........ people these days......)

Not sure how they would handle the difficulty..... Like what they done with Birthright and Conquest. I would love to have both options + The hard and lunatic stuff.

More cut scenes and voice acting!

While falling asleep last night, 2 more ideas came to mind, mostly improvements. The ideas are:


  • A variety of supports for all units: It's no surprise that in the FE games, some characters only get a few supports, mostly late game characters, but in Awakening and Fates there are some who only have supports with the avatar character. This feels like a really missed opportunity to not only learn more about certain characters, but for them to feel fleshed out and perhaps get some humorous moments from them. Characters like Reina, Izana, and Scarlet I feel could have used more supports, especially Scarlet. While not confirmed, there seemed to be hints of romance between Scarlet and Ryoma, aside from I think a dlc map, this is hardly ever touched upon. I'm hoping in the next game, everyone gets their fair share of conversations, even the little late game guys.

 

  • An expanded capture system: One of the cool new features in Fates was the ability to capture enemy units, both standard characters and certain bosses. The only problem is, there isn't much to do with captured boss characters, aside from completing a checklist of getting all the units. It would have been more interesting to learn more about them, through some conversations of their own. It can just be a few, such as the avatar unit, a select few from your roster, or perhaps among other prisoned units. Giving them their own personal skills would even make a difference. It would have been much more interesting to learn more about these boss units you can capture. So yeah, there is still potential in this mechanic and I hope it returns, with these ideas in mind.

Higher production values, more varied mission objectives (like in Conquest), more cutscenes and a harder difficulty than Awakening. And also a better story please.

console fire emblem >>>> portable. nothing still beats path of radiance for me, everything was perfect imo. radiant dawn actually felt too long to me...

Thumbs up. I will say, i can acknowledge Awakening is a better game in terms of content, i still never 100% that game including the dlc, but path of raidance introduced me to the series (thanks to melee and a gamestop dump bin), and i was sucked in from the start.

Yeah, I still really enjoy Awakening and is overall a solid game. My main issue was the story and Chrom, which were both lackluster. Ike's my favorite lord in the series and PoR and RD had great stories, so they're my favorite games overall.

Shadow Dragon attempted it...but it wasn't very good IMO. The only way you could even hope to compete was by dedicating your playthrough to making a maxed out team. 

If they attempt it again, I hope they make it more accessible. Sure Pokemon has a similar problem, the Fire Emblem's mechanics are quite a bit different.
