Mostly a personal feeling. I think this franchise has overstayed it's welcome into the community since Advanced Warfare kicked on, it's obvious that they didn't know what to do with it anymore. Pushing out every entry on a yearly basis, didn't help out too. Let's not forget the paywall for the remastered version of COD 4 : Modern Warfare ... and these microtransactions ... in a full price game !

I don't think it would have been good for my sanity seeing people buying into these shitty buisness practices once again ...

People like CoD. Advance Warfare has reviewed well, so they obviously still do know what to do with it. I don't see the issue.

I'm hyped. The only concern is which version of the games should I get?Both have expensive versions that may be a good value or may be overpriced. I'm also torn between which console I should get Mass Effect on.

Except they decided to use the same militaristic, futuristic trope in their next 2 games with Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare. And after the sales of the latter game, which is the worst selling title in this franchise since World at War which sold better too, do you really expect them to know what they are doing with it ?

It doesn't give me the impression in the slightest imo.

But it still reviewed well. Every franchise has a sales ceiling. No one pisses at Mario Kart 8 or Smash for selling less. Who cares. The consumer bsse likes the game. You don't. Play something else then. I don't understand why you'd be happy that other people aren't playing it.
