Forums - Sony - The Last Guardian Sales

Maybe TLG sales will allow the dev and sony to make their money back on the game. Even though the development time was long i dont think alot of people were working on it untill at the end.

What do you guys think, can they make their money back and even profit?

it will probably sell over 2 million or 3 with bundles, i expect this game to be heavily bundled within the next few months across EU.

I personally don't think sales themselves will be enough for them to make their money back. That being said, I think it was still worthwhile for them to release it.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

It definitely seems to have under performed, and for a game with that hype and development time I feel like it should've sold at least near a million first week. But only Sony knows what the internal predictions and budget were. But I don't see it making much of a profit, at all.

It was a small team working on the game, and i'm sure it was actually cancelled at one stage, before they picked it up again.

Those are pretty good numbers for a niche title though.

Impossible to know with a game like this with such a long development.

I would bet they make their money back though. I hope its selling well in other areas, stores here seem to have been overstocked.

i'm thinking tlg might be undertracked but thats just my suspicion
