Forums - Gaming - Disgaea 5 Gameplay Running on the Switch

It's weird. I love this genre, but not this series. Was playing Disgaea 3 on the PS3 when my tv at the time died. Then I bought Batman:AA with my new tv and never went back. The leveling-up system just seemed so strange. And the music. The repetitive music. Skipped the 4 and 5 on Vita and PS4. It's a good one for any system to have tho. Has a cult following.

  • Includes Laharl's and seven additional side-stories. Join past Disgaea characters for exciting post-game content!
  • Add seven great characters to your squad not found in the original retail release including Nisa, Girl Laharl, and more!
  •

I asusme you are referring to that part? The problem is - all that stuff is in ps4 season pass.

There's no exclusive content as far as what was announced so far. Its just a complete/GOTY edition like games like Borderlands, etc get.

imo, this is great for those who want to play the game portable or if they never played the game like me - gonna get the Switch version myself, took the PS4 ver off my wishlist already xD.

If you two clicked through, you'd realize that my post was an elaborate joke based on the fact that Nintendo uses screenshots of the PS4 version to promote a Switch game.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Most SRPG series never grabbed me like FFTLW, VC1, or FE games ever did. I gave this series a chance awhile ago too and it just never clicked with me, I have no idea why.

I made a post on this earlier. If you want to just do point A to Z - no real grinding is needed. At least I've never needed any.

If you want to do the "extra game" content that usually involves different characters you will need to grind some. You typically end the game around level 80ish, and you need to he 120 to 5oo to get to that content.

If you want to platinum it, or tackle the final boss - you need to super grind.

If you just want to play the main campaign, grinding isnt necessary or heavy if any.

If you want to do the extra stuff like secret bosses and item world, you'll have to grind for better items and levels cause the enemy levels are a whole another league compared to the main story enemies.

    Good to know...thanks guys!
