If it were Pirate Curse, I would say this one, since its the one I played and enjoyed greatly.But for this comparison, I would say Freedom planet.I enjoyed it much more than I expected.And Freedom planet 2 is not too far off, so there that too!

i have not played any Shantae games but i have played Freedom Planet and it is a pretty solid little game.
