Patch 3.5 - called The Far Edge of Fate, is a free patch update that'll add more content, missions, and side quest and more. watch the 8min trailer below.

Didn't really show much to be impressive to me, but my speculation is because they're holding back for part 2 in March.
Looks like they have summoned Omega to wipe out the Garleans, this looks intriguing. Patch 3.5, and 3.55 will wrap up the 3.x era, and move us on towards the 4.0 expansion which is coming out in June.
