Indeed. Metacritic is good for getting the overall average, but the best way to find a score for a game you haven't played yet is to find 1-3 critics that have a similar mindset/taste as you since their scores will be a lot closer in how you would rate them

I didn't make this thread in order to criticize specific games getting metacritic scores that are to someone's taste. I just wanted to show how times have changed not only for the industry, but us as gamers aswell. All this hand - holding in games is reflect in reviews aswell. I saw ppl for example complaining that they didn't die once in a game... imagine that back in 2000. Now this thing "difficulty " is even getting accounted in reviews! Oh back then this was a standard. Games were wayyyyy harder but that was it! No specific mention was made.
