Forums - Gaming - Rumour: FF 1-9 collection, 13 trilogy & 7 Remake ep. 1 coming next year

When the 25th Anniversary edition came out, it costs $445!!!!

I think people are treating this rumor like its will be regular priced game, which it won't be.

In other words, as great as this sounds, I'll probably be simply getting almost every FF game (and probably most other multiplatform games as well) on PC instead.

Yep - same reason for myself as well - getting all multiplat titles on PC from now on.

Same, but 2018 for those other two is basically them pulling a GTA V. WHich also means I won't be paying full price at all either .

I am interested in the 1-9 collection. If they add trophies, even cooler. I understand the PSone games had some extra cool stuff, like orchestral music and CGI FMVs

Yep, though SE's titles tend to go on sale far more often and are cheaper to boot copared to Rockstar's PC titles.

Just this year, I already bought

-Final Fantasy V - Squareenix Online Store Anniversary Sale $7.99
-Final Fantasy VI - Squareenix Online Store April Savings May Bring Sale - $7.99
-Final Fantasy IX - Squareenix Online Store E3 Sale - $16.89
-Final Fantasy XIII - GIFT $0 from Amazon
-Final Fantasy XIII-2 - GameStop Squareenix Sale $5.99
-Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns (Amazon via Halloween Sale) - $9.99

Fun fact - Final Fantasy IX is my most expensive Steam/PC single game purchase!

Never know what they might pull with XV's port though lol. I'm betting £39.99 or at least £35. I'll be waiting for a possible GMG discount to £20-25, especially a mid to late 2018 port.

If the rumors are true about a 2018 port - it'll likely be a $40 port with all DLC attached to it similar to how XIII-2 and XIII LR had all of the DLC both in coding and in the actual game. (The Playstation and Xbox exclusive DLC costumes and weapons were not advertised but with the help of mods/modifying the code, you can unlock the console exclusive dlc costumes).

The SE Online store is the best place to go for sales FF wise, GMG is okay, but those SE sales are insane :p

They had a pricing error on FFX/X-2 HD Remaster which came out this year for $10 - I missed it of course ;(!

Eh I find it a but dubious as to how their store is the only one with the better deal =P. Though I am hoping for a really good deal when the time comes to mid/late 2018 and a stellar port job.

Eh? All of them had orchestral music o.O - unless you mean the midi music that FFVIII had.

Anyways, as far as CGI FMVs, the PS1 versions of FF1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 only had like 2 CGI FMVs - one at the beginning and the end.

FFVI had 3 - one of them being a special movie in the Anthology collection.

Also the PS1 FFIV CG FMVs were garbage. The Nintendo DS ones are good.

which ones are we getting then? the ps1 versions or what?

Most of this seems possible, except the anniversary collection on the Vita. Would all that be able to fit in one Vita card?

Considering the 25th anniversary was Playstation exclusive - I would imagine if this rumor was true then we would be getting the following

-Final Fantasy 1 (PSP)
-Final Fantasy 2 (PSP)
-Final Fantasy 3 (PSP)
-Final Fantasy 4 (Either the PS1 version but its likely the exclusive PSP version)
-Final Fantasy 5 (Either the PS1 version but its likely the iOS/mobile/PC version)
-Final Fantasy 6 (Either the PS1 version but its likely the iOS/mobile/PC version)
-Final Fantasy 7 ( PS4 PSN aka PC Port)
-Final Fantasy 8 ( PC Port)
-Final Fantasy 9 (PC Port)

Meaning - FF7, FF8 and FF9 would only have the CG scenes unless they patch it in exclusively for the PS4 version release.

I had FF1 and 2 on my PSP, amazing games. I would probably have finished them but my niece was crying cause her mother said some mean things to her and I gave her my PSP and all the games to shut her up =)

Not really keen on the collection, already played those many times over. Not even excited about Zodiac Age as I didn't like 12 or 13. I guess I'm only hyped for VII Remake. I wish they'd remake VI or something rather than just releasing a collection.

Disregard my post counts....but it's all true this is happening next year (PM me for my sources)

Also, we should of had a FF7 demo right now....it was slated for a big psx reveal but too many problems with it though; working out the kinks now.

Sorry if I just came out of nowhere and hell, we can bet on this info as well.

hope its true, all the final fantasy games in 1 place, would be appealing to me.
