Rivals, a recently released expansion, adds the much anticipated online multiplayer feature as well as a new campaign to work through that changes aesthetics in favor of a more realistic look. Note that the old World Tour mode is still in the game. Anyone on the fence, well, this is the best opportunity you're gonna have to pick it all up for cheap, brand new! Something else to keep in mind is that once these instruments go out of production, they appreciate in price! This has happened particularily with the les Paul guitar and the rock band drums though the latter won't jump in price again until production ends (the les Paul guitar is the one that shipped with guitar hero 3, the most preferred guitar controller for top players and sells for a cool $250 new on PS3/360).

Its also worth noting that Rock Band 4 works with all legacy rock band instruments across the same platforms, as well as almost every guitar hero controller except the PS2 ones (although with an adapter that can work as well).

Ahhh...Rockband, the audio music game where you'll need precise timing to play some of your favorite songs alone or with some of your buddies. The game with bad audio and video stutter that makes playing a set of songs a hit or miss mass of disappointment with glitches and poor audio. The year old game that is still buggy. And where online play, which was a 'thing' for all the other games when they were popular, is an extra-cost expansion that is not available yet. Where most of the recent song releases are more Dance Central than Rock N Roll. There is a reason the box sets are more than 50% off.

There is no audio or video stutter on Ps4 to say the least. There couldn't be, as its a rhythm game that is predicated on, as you mentioned, precise timing. If what you said were true then I wouldn't have the couple dozen full combos on expert that I have. Actually, the game itself isn't buggy at all except a glitch in the music store that will send you to the home screen on rare occasion. Either way, I can promise you that the software itself and the engine itself are golden and that there is no stuttering so idk what you're talking about. I do agree with you about the singles though, but they still do release classics at least one week out of the month such as Redneck by lamb of god, seventeen by winger, etc. And yes, about the online thing, your thoughts echo the entire community. There is literally no other game that supply's the fix that Rock Band does though, so I will support Harmonix on this as long as I have love for the game and I've been at it for almost a decade now so...

You should get rock band 1, 2, and 3 for super cheap and then export all three games to rock band 4. I have the first three games and the fourth all available and playable in a shared library for RB4, plus over 200 DLC songs. It's great

And, to reiterate, the engine is as good as or better than RB3 which up to that point was the best engine. There are no frame or audio stutters (On Ps4 at least)

how do u export? just put in rock band 1 ps3 in your ps4 console?
