Well, no, but given the ass-whoopin' the Wii is handing the high definition consoles across the world, teaming the PS3 and 360 gives roughly the same market at the Wii by itself. With budgets continuing to rise and the Wii continuing to dominate, if a company is making a multi-plat game, this strategy makes sense.

Look at games like Assassin's Creed, CoD4, DMC4, GTA IV, etc... All were resounding successes and all were 360/PS3. If MGS4 falters in any way on the PS3, you can bet there will be a few developers working on 360 or PS3 exclusives shitting themselves over the next few months as their game nears release.

However i doubt (or at least hope) MGS4 will falter...im praying it sells billions....


I don't think MGS4 will falter either... But I think it will see sales lower than Konami wants, probably in the 4-4.5m range when all is said and done.

Look at Haze... Sure, it's a crap game but you can bet that right now, FR is wishing they kept it multi-platform. The game would have done a lot better in the US had it gone to the 360 as well. Not that the game deserves a single sale IMO, but I'm just sayin'...

If these companies want strong sales in the US, there is a pretty big reason to bring over some of those games to the 360. At the very least, FF and MGS should be considered for a later release on the 360. Those games sport monstrous budgets and the 360's lead in the US is hard to ignore.

Obviously not GT6, though. Dunno why that's even in the conversation.


If they want strong sales in the USA.. they would go with nintendo lol. Nintendo has sold more games more systems and they will have passed 360s sales by time metal gear drops. Sony systems sales are also greater then 360s. In a years time sony will be close and nintendo will have blown passed 360 by millions.

 

SO if anyone is getting sonys exculsives its nintendo.......

I believe he meant if Sony exclusives are going to go multiplat it might as well be to Nintendo. It's flattering but there IS that little technological gap. The consensus seems to be that the only thing the 360 is truly outclassed in vs. the PS3 is TEH CELL's uber graphics.

I have no idea what you just said.  If you said Cell as in  Cell processor then thats doesn't correlate to the graphic and furthermore RSX Graphics are slower and worse then the Xenos.

The cpu, ram, hard drive all essitanlly help out graphics, but its the GPU that makes the big diffrence and what they all go into.  But no the cell processor is just a special design they gave those mac CPU's.

Lol if graphics was the only thing that sold a console then ps3 would be killing.

People want to make money? in The US, "others" or japan you gonna make it on the number one console and thats the wii. Sega is doing it with sonic, EA been doing it from the start with like 20 titles so far, Can anyone say Spider-man 3?

Muti-platform is muti-platform..... The graphical difference means nuthin when the wii version has the potential to sell millions more then 360 AND way more millions then ps3.

SO like i was saying to Rocket.... all those games besides GT will pick wii before 360. thats just not smart to make jp games on a system that does horrible in jp and is in 3rd in others and soon to be second in US.

 Face it xbox fanboys all those exculsive games are gone and wont come back intill microsoft kills 360 and rushes another RROD system to the market.
