No to MGS5
No to Final Fantasy whatever
No to GT6
Unless there is a catastrophic sales crash for the PS3, there is no reason for these games to switch sides
I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

If these companies want strong sales in the US, there is a pretty big reason to bring over some of those games to the 360. At the very least, FF and MGS should be considered for a later release on the 360. Those games sport monstrous budgets and the 360's lead in the US is hard to ignore.
Obviously not GT6, though. Dunno why that's even in the conversation.

I always forget that the US is the CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

| Final-Fan said: To be fair to all the ignorant people saying FF has never been on the Xbox, MMORPGs are different. "SE doesn't whore games like EA." That is correct; SE whores games in an entirely different manner. "Square enix and Electronic arts merged a sub company in 1998, read wiki before you post." Perhaps if you had followed your own advice you would have learned that Square ENIX wasn't merging with ANYONE in 1998, as it did not yet exist. ![]() |
Sorry I mean to say Square since they bought out Omega soft then Merged a sub company with EA then bought out Enix i lost track of all their names.
BTW let you guys know a little secrect MGS5 is real and solid snake battles these two things in the game. Here is the links.
I'll give you more later on the updates

No, NA just happens to be the premiere market and the PS3 is a long, long ways behind the 360 in userbase there.
But go ahead and try to ignore it if it makes you feel better.

I dont ignore it, and yes the PS3 is a loooooooong way behind.
But when the PS3 steamrolls past the 360 in worldwide sales, why would developers jump ship?

I'm not saying anyone should jump ship, I'm saying that to maximize sales across Europe and the US, PS3/360 games make sense. Given that the two consoles are extremely close power-wise, little should have to be sacrificed to multi-plat most games.

True, but does the industry really need the same games on every platform?
Exclusives are what make the gaming industry so competitive and (supposedly) drive developers to make their games better to compete.
If the PS3 suddenly had Halo, Gears and PGR, and the 360 suddenly had MGS, GT and FF would this really make everybody happy?

Well, no, but given the ass-whoopin' the Wii is handing the high definition consoles across the world, teaming the PS3 and 360 gives roughly the same market at the Wii by itself. With budgets continuing to rise and the Wii continuing to dominate, if a company is making a multi-plat game, this strategy makes sense.
Look at games like Assassin's Creed, CoD4, DMC4, GTA IV, etc... All were resounding successes and all were 360/PS3. If MGS4 falters in any way on the PS3, you can bet there will be a few developers working on 360 or PS3 exclusives shitting themselves over the next few months as their game nears release.
