Forums - Gaming - PSVR sports week + SW Battlefront for $10

4 new games this week for PSVR, all motion controls.

VirZOOM Arcade, free

A bunch of arcade games designed for excercise. Demo is compatibble with DS4 yet I guess it's intented to sell you that exercise bike
VirZOOM Arcade is an ever-expanding collection of virtual reality exercise games powered by you. Pedal faster to chase down bandits, turn your head to aim your tank's cannon, and lean to swoop and dive on the back of a Pegasus. Say goodbye to your boring workout.
https://www.amazon.com/VirZOOM-Virtual-Reality-Exercise-Games/dp/B01HL84HN4 $400 for the controller.

I wouldn't mind exercising in front of a screen, simulate a tour ride when it's too cold to go outside. Yet wearing a helmet specifically designed for maximum airflow for cooling while cycling already won't stop the sweat. I can't imagine heavy exercise while wearing a VR headset, yuck.

No reviews available for this, 6 user reviews on Steam, only 2 with more than an hour played...

Proton Pulse plus $10

A Love Letter to the 90's! ProtonPulse Plus is fast paced classic arcade action from a whole new perspective. Spanning over 50 levels, with an original soundtrack by Jake Kaufman and Danimal
Basically breakout in VR, ported over from the rift. No reviews, surprise, was out since April.
8 positive + 3 negative reviews. Warning, you need room to play this game.

NBA 2K VR Experience $15

NBA 2KVR Experience gives you the thrill of walking right onto the court, with All-Star Paul George providing guidance and tips. Compete in a series of fun and intuitive virtual reality basketball mini-games with numerous Gatorade boosts available to improve your performance.
Yay another experience :/ A collection of mini games with shameless advertising.

Holoball $15 ($10.50 with plus)

DISCLAIMER: This game requires you to stand 6-8 feet from the PlaystationVR® and is extremely physical.
Play Squash against an AI Tron style. This one is going for 80's sci fi with chiptunes techno soundtrack.
It was first released for the Vive in April, no professional reviews but it has gained some traction on Steam with 320 very positive and only 20 negative reviews.

Oh my god this game is amazing.
Pros: I lived long enough to see the future
Cons: All of my furniture is now in the kitchen.

One of, if not the best 'sports' VR game. Just be careful - Holoball is the reason I have a hole in my lounge wall.

80's, 90's and 10's games to satisfy your exercise needs Perhaps I'll give Proton Pulse or Holoball a try some time. They figured out correctly how to touch my nostalgia nerves with the music and retro visuals.

What I did add to my cart immediately was Star wars Battlefront from the Black friday week sale. Only $7.50 with ps plus, and gives access to the upcoming VR X-Wing mission on December 6th. (Sale price is valid until the 29th)

STAR WARS™ Battlefront™: X-Wing VR Mission will immerse players in one of the most dreamt about Star Wars fantasies – piloting an X-wing in the far reaches of space. This all-new mission will be exclusive to PlayStation VR this holiday, and is free* for owners of STAR WARS™ Battlefront™.

No point in downloading VirZOOM Arcade, doesn't work.

After a screen to advertise the exercise bike it says you can try it out with a DS4. Only option to continue is to hold L2+R2 to calibrate the screen which leads to a Null Exception thrown by Unity. It doesn't even have the decency to crash so you can send an error report, just stuck on the error message.

It seems to be the same for everyone as the only media for the game are screenshots of that Null Exception error message. How the hell did this get put up for download if it doesn't even start.

On their support site
VirZOOM Arcade will appear for download from the PlayStation Store on November 22nd! We're very sorry for the delay – we intended this to be available to download as soon as people receive this shipment of bikes, but there were some unforeseen technical hurdles during Sony's certification process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at support@virzoom.com
I wonder what those technical hurdles were, apparently starting the game wasn't one of them.

Did I read this correctly? Star Wars BF for $7.50!?!

Sold! It's downloading now. How did I miss this? I was just on the store a few hours ago. I had no idea!

*Edit* SON OF A BITCH!

THE DELUXE EDITION IS ONLY $9.99! FOR A DOLLAR FIFTY MORE, I COULD HAVE HAD IT! I'M SUCH AN IMPULSIVE FOOL!!

Doh! I have it sitting in my cart, the 7.50 version was actually down the page with the deluxe the first option. How did you miss it?

I'll leave it in my cart for now, see if I spot a second hand copy. Internet usage is tight for me in November and December, 22GB download is a big chunk!

I used the app on my phone and searched "Star Wars"

I didn't look at the normal sales. I'm a fool!
