Stolen from GAFs official thread on NS. I don't see an issue. Especially considering there are surely quite a few games we don't even know about that will be confirmed on Jan 12th as well as throughout the year. I fully expect all 3rd party games announced in 2017 to include NS.

You know, as someone who doesn't own a WiiU, that launch lineup looks amazing. All of the 6 first parties are a day one pic, and even a couple of 3rd parties too. If ypu have a WiiU and all of its major titles, I can see how it's a bit dissapointing, though. I imagine we haven't seen all of their new releases for its first year.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I have a WiiU. I own MK8, Splatoon and Smash. That's only 3 of the 6 games we know of so far. But, what we don't know is the full content being added to those 3 games. From what we've seen in just the short video is already a lot of stuff and I'm positive that Nintendo's track record prove that they add a lot of content to big DLCs and/or enhanced versions. Its not just copy/paste with new controls.

Then you see the 3rd party list which is a lot of new content. One that is definitely exclusive.

Lastly, there are likely double this not announced yet for 2017 plus something related to VC (a given) and digital BC (a rumor) for WiiU.

The same thing happened with the ps4: new games but also a lot of remasters. Chill out, everything will be allright.

Not true at all. It was more like new games and a fair number of crossplatfirm games (not necessarily remasters). Would be the same case with the switch if a fair number of its remasters aren't 2-3yrs old already.

The Legend of Zelda.

Which isn't a launch title anymore. As it stands we don't even know if it's still going to make a 2017 release. I expect it will though.

OT: I wouldn't worry if I were you. If Nintendo is doing what we all think, the amount of games that typically make up their mobile portfolio should be more than enough to hold over anyone.

Actually, this is not a reason to be concerned. You see... you (the TO) are the average Nintendo customer. A minority. But what Nintendo wants (and needs) is the majority. And although Nintendo puts emphasis on the Switch being a home console first and foremost - i dont know why and whatfor - they want people to play games... mobile. What games doesnt really matter. I expect them to try get their finger on anything that goes.

Hunting Season is done...

They need to entice me on the ports. As a wiiU owner I need some serious perks to double dip there.
With Zelda at launch this was a guaranteed day one purchase, with nothing but a Mario game (I'm not very big on modern Mario) and wiiU ports from Nintendo at launch, it's a bit of a harder sell.

The WiiU has some amazing games that absolutely should be brought to a brand new audience. But Nintendo has to be careful not to alienate their most loyal fanbase in the process.

Every game I hear about coming to switch is an enhanced version of a game... With the exception of Mario. That has me very worried and honestly not excited at all. I am all smahed, karted and splatted out. I played the hell out off all those games. I am incredibly bored of them now. Give me an entirely new one of those games with better graphics and I will be all for it. But I am not buying a new console for just enhanced versions. Furthermore it might be confusing to people when they see a system with a bunch of Wii U games on it. They might think it's just a portable wii u. And bam back to a repeat of the Wii U launch.

Then don't buy a Switch. Buy a PC.
