The entry price into 4k gaming is getting very cheap. holiday 2017 will be even lower. And TV'S will follow rapidly too.

I agree I am suprised how fast 4K TVs price have dropped. I got my 4K HDR tv for 499$ the day after PS4 Pro was announced. PS4 Pro makes a huge difference (at least with Skyrim anyway)

seems it is not being sold at lost. maybe a good margin of profit

Yes you are right but I'm talking about 4k TV'S that I'd consider buying. I'd want a really good one and currently a 4k TV I'd consider costs about $1800 or $1200 on sale.
OLED 4K sets with low input lag are also super expensive. The technology is literally turning a corner as we speak. I'm hoping in 12 months they'll have the low input OLED sets for a reasonable price.
Ps4 pro and scorpio next year will drive sales of these TV'S more than the natural progression so the much higher sales volume can lead to a dramatic decrease in price quite quickly.
Even this year I'm seeing a ton of 4k adverts for Christmas and last year I saw barely any.
Great times ahead for 4k and the best part is the technology will be super mainstream by the time the ps5 gen rolls around meaning it can hit the ground running.
Mine just came in today. Dell has them for 399, but I had a 200 gift card so I got it for 229 after taxes. going to sell my og PS4 on craigslist in a couple days. quite happy with it, looks great!
Its $550 AUD in Australia
Thats about USD $410 which isn't actually too bad, I cant find any discount deals though.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
Last Saturday at Target where I work I got a PS Pro for $327 after 25% discounts and tax. The next day at same Target I got a 42" 4K TV for only $184, it was on sale for $199.99 $100 off. Glad I did not have to try to get a 4K TV Black Friday! Enjoying Pro in 4K! Next PSVR!
FYI! This Sunday (11/20) Target is discounting all electronics (including game consoles) by 10% with promo code: TECH
It will stack with the Red Card too so you'll be able to pick up the PS4 Pro for $360 with the promo or $340 with the promo and Red Card!
This will also work on the PS4S, XB1S, Wii U and 3DS but I think the Black Friday deals on those systems will be better.
