Nah, I've heard him say before that he was going to wait. This is all the after affects of hype, right now.

its not really hype, as much as its in need for an upgrade. i have a 720p 32" sony tv. which i got 7 years ago. i also have a 21" 1080p Monitor. i am gaming mostly on my 21" monitor. been wanting to upgrade for a while.
while its true all this talk about 4k and HDR has effected me. but its because i dont want to buy a tv then have to upgrade later in a few years.

Input Lag is just ONE tiny aspect for video gaming on a TV, which is one tiny aspect for the overall TV. Okay, just check which TV the same site named best TV for gaming: |
For video gaming currently maybe, although still not ideal. The idea was a future proof tv, hence citing the 4K HDR mode where the lag is pretty high.
On their site that only counts for 8% of the score, 1080p mode is seen as by far the most important.

In that list the Sony X750D comes out at 30.5ms in 4K HDR mode. But true LG OLED has better picture quality for HDR gaming (although not as bright as Samsung) yet they also state Note: The input lag in HDR is inconsistent on both the LG B6 and the E6 and it varies in time. If you care about input lag, you should skip OLED.
They put the Samsung KS8000 beside it as a great alternative, brighter and 21.1ms input lag in game mode at 4K HDR. The B6 review got updated, it is faster on average yet it's not even steady, cycles between 38.8ms - 54.7ms.

I'm going to wait until HDR matures a bit. There is no tv with all the specs I'm looking for, at least not for an affordable price. (Z9D looks nice)

yeah i found a great deal on the Sony X80D in saudi arabia. where my brother lives. (literally 1/3rd of the price of where i live). so i might let him ship it to me. it seems like a good TV.
