Forums - Gaming - Dead Rising 4 is not Dead Rising (CrowbCat video)

You must be some kind of God! If memory serves, you only start of with like 1 or 3 blocks of health. You eventually build it up but you're always just strong enough to get a little further. Then you die and have to start from the beginning, and get a little stronger, only to reach a point where you're just not strong enough to continue. Then, you do it again. It was too much for me. I did beat it. Hell, I still have my save! But yeah. I'm not the badass I used to be when it comes to games.

Even DR2, I bought the Dlc that released before the game just to be at a higher level when the full game came out!

I have DR3 but I don't think I've ever played it.

You start with four blocks, and there's the possibility of getting an extra one if you level up during the photography prologue.

I don't know. I think you get enough PP along the way to properly level up while actively, at least, clearing up the Cases of the story. The game was very generous when it came to give PP.

Heh, heh. You said "PP".

In any case, I guess I'm buying DR4 on day one. Aside from PSVR, this has been an underwhelming year. I'm hoping it can break the recent Capcom curse and blow me away.

Seems more like Capcom listened to people and removed the shitty parts of Dead Rising.

That 100% lol

Dead Rising 4 looks better and better everyday. I'm so glad they removed all that annoying stuff from it. Timers and other things are not what "makes" a good Dead Rising... The 3 was already great.

I'm still looking forward to the game, but I'm disappointed in no escort missions. While maybe Dead Rising 1 had way too many of them, I did like going back to base and seeing all of the people I'd save. Instead of outright scrapping them away, they should have just reduced the number of escort missions, and add those loot dropping survivors to mix things up.

I remain open-minded to this game, but I can see why some fans are upset

They took everything I liked away =(
Dead Rising 3 was really cool, but I will pass this one.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Who would miss time limits?... from any game for that matter.

Me ?

Especially in games originally built around time limit.

Removing time limit is a very, very bad idea in Dead rising, same For the Atelier series. The new Atelier are crap since they removed time limit for a lot of reasons.

i haven't got to play DR 3 yet.defo love the first 2 though they were japanese timelines for sure not to everyones tastes but fun games

try out DR4 on my new PC hopefully

I really liked DR1, and I also enjoyed the 2nd one, but I have to admit that I didn't have very high expectations when I played DR3 for some reason (I played it around launch because my uncle got an XB1). However, while the beginning was a bit boring, that game really did end up growing on me.

What really matters at this point is if it'll let you kill zombies with random objects and power tools.
