I mean, yeah, it's about 50% likely. Only because we have no idea what roles exist. There could be both a mafia and a town bp. The general idea of a bulletproof is to prevent unfair or random lucky shots. So mafia is fairly reliable, especially given the vig and town busdriver, which could result in 0 townie deaths and 2 mafia deaths in one night.
Also, bp is generally given to these roles, mafia, sk, survivor. I think those are the top three. I believe trucks was an sk one game with a bp/godfather choice, and in general a survivor gets a bp because survivor is an incredibly hard role to win even if you got skills.

Now, you're looking at that and thinking, jeez prof, it looks like you believe he's scum. And for sure, it's likely. However, I've been considering the meta and I'm in between.
Now, fair warning, meta is always complicated, so I could be wrong, but I'm maybe 80% sure of the setup after my own info and some of the flips.

I was attacked, that much I know for sure. I'm generally a high priority target for protection or watching, etc. This would indicate to me that mafia likely has a ninja, and there is a ninja in overwatch which makes me pretty confident of its existence.

A ninjas only real purpose is to evade being tracked or watched. This further indicates we have a tracker watcher combo. My role is generally considered an underpowered cop.
Now let's just say for now that mrp is a town bp. This is basically an underpowered doc.we also have a busdrver, who is a confusion role, but also another version of an underpowered doc.
I am relatively sure that all the town roles are underpowered versions of normal town roles.

Additionally in games with multiple killing roles, there are multiple backups. Like, a mod has to expect that a busdriver can possibly die day one and factor in some other way to prevent town from being steamrolled by bad luck.

Tl;Dr
Given that I think town is multiple small roles instead of 3 or 4 major ones, in order for everyone to have some kind of fun role, I believe that bp is somewhat likely a town role to throw in just to assist with swing.

I think the meta favors a scum bp, but we also might have a mafia bp in addition to a town one.

It's unwise to guess mrp's alignment based on role meta in a theme game.

Why do you keep on insisting on your own lynch. If you're indeed town, act like it. Stop merely dropping in after every mention of your name and comment on other things, ask people questions, make a difference.

The difference between your self-vote and Mr.P's is you were acting pro-town and mostly zero ignored all logic to call you scum to the point that you broke down and wanted to be lynched in order to avoid playing with him. Mr.P has not been acting pro-town and is self-voting to avoid doing such.

And I have to admit that I already looked back through all of darwin's posts when I asked what you meant and for examples. This misremembering is coming off as a strong town tell for me, as I believe you'd be more careful about such a statement that could easily be checked. Now that it's cleared up, any change in opinion?

As prof explained, Bus Driver is a very swingy role, and Vig can be too. To me, it is highly likely mafia have some kind of protection with both of them being confirmed in the setup. I also highly doubt that both Mr.P and prof are town.  I have a harder time buying prof's role as town than BP, but I have a harder time believing Mr.P's behavior is town than prof's.

So what's the general stance on what happened with Baalz?

Reading old games can be so much fun. I completely forgot I got a town cop lynched D1 in Round 52 while being so sure MDJ was scum, then D2 I correctly called out the entire scumteam but I really had to be mislynched in response to D1.

Anyways, bringing this up because I feel even better about prof being town, and also because he was adamant about MDJ being town then due to similar behavior analysis as I think he's displaying regarding Mr.P now.

I don't like the way he is using the newb card far too long. I think he needs pressure to answer the question that's being thrown to him.
