I've been thinking, and Baalz's death just isn't sitting well with me. Why would mafia kill him? Also, Baalz never gave any indication that he suspected prof. Most of his suspicions were directed at Mr.P, so why the hell would he target prof to shoot? I am thinking of two scenarios:

1. Baalz didn't shoot last Night. Prof made the stuff up about "ability borrowing" (Like I said, Baalz never gave any indication that he suspected prof). Prof and Mr.P are scum buddies, they killed Baalz because he was tunneling Mr.P yesterDay, and prof made up the story after he discovered what Baalz flipped. Also, since Mr.P is scum bulletproof, he might have taken my "attacking power" post seriously.

2. Baalz died cuz he tunneled Mr.P. They had their own bus driver, and thought they'd try their luck and put him to use because why not. They suspected Baalz was the vig (bulletproof + attacking power), and so they got lucky in directing him at prof. Prof also got lucky in saving himself.

Either way, Mr.P feels scummy af. Thoughts?

The reason for the scummy vibe in the first place is due to how Day1 ended. Prof could have hammered Mr.P, but chose not to, based on his meta. Their interactions, as rare as they are, feel fake somehow. Baalz tunneling Mr.P, then he ends up dead.

Baalz targeting prof makes no sense to me, so either Mr.P was his target, and mafia redirected it onto prof (Mr.P is maf)... Or prof made the thing up (both Mr.P and prof are maf).

I don't believe for a second that they redirected Baalz's shot onto himself. Dafuq is that even.

For what it's worth, I do. I saw some of the questions you asked him, and I believe the answers are already in his posts, or you misunderstood some of his posts. I'm not gonna answer for him, though, lol. <side-looks at Stefl>

If mafia anticipated a vig hit on Mr.P, he could be town and mafia was just using the situation to score a free kill redirected onto a target of their choice. 

But I admit the theory that Mr.P is mafia and they wanted to redirect an investigation onto someone else (thus appearing as if Mr.P is innocent), and the vig hit was a lucky break, seems more plausible. 

According to the "vig kill redirected" theory, baalz could have been killed by his own bullet, and if prof is telling the truth he was the mafia's target.  Would this make more sense of the flavor text?

Kinda depressed that we are faced with almost the same choices as yesterDay. Does anyone have reason to believe we should be looking somewhere entirely different?

1. Assuming prof is inno: yeah, that seems entirely plausible.

2. Yeah, the flavor text is the only reason I won't dismiss the possibility entirely.
