Maybe it's a strategy you would use?

Maybe, but If I were mafia, I would probably have no idea what to do, considering that everytime I try to explain my choices here, more people point fingers at me.

Can you answer the linkz question about why you're surprised I'm not dead, but you think I'm guilty? I believe you mentioned briefly on day 1 that people who talk a lot are suspicious, so why would you expect that I'd be attacked?

And also why would you attack mrp? How would that make people who voted him day 1 look suspicious?

Honestly, the whole atempted murder thing kind of forces me to re-evaluate my theories. Unless you have lied about your incident (which, I don't know, mod question, can you lie about this kind of things?).

The objective of any mafia is being undetected, wich can be done in mostly two ways: you either manage to atract zero attention to you, or you either gain so much attention by convincing everyone you're innocent. The fastest way to achieve the latter is just to point fingers at someone. By that, I still think you are at least, very suspicious, but if you have really suffered an attempted murder, then I have to think everything again and look for other clues.

About the "And also why would you attack mrp? How would that make people who voted him day 1 look suspicious?". I think I already aswered it, but I'm going to try to explain it again. People who wanted a player out of the way at any costs would try to vote for him both during the lynch and during the night. You can use that logic to go "that guy tried to kill him from the beginning, and now he's dead! There must be a connection!". Granted, I'm sure the way I'm writting it it doesn't look that convincing than the way it sounds in my head, but hey, that's my reasoning.

How does me being attacked make you rethink your suspicions? What if it was baalz that attacked me?

I suspected you of being mafia, and I'm going to assume the only ones that can attack here outside of a lynch are the mafias. And Baalz was town, so he wouldn't have been able to attack you. So, if what you say is true, a mafia must have attacked you, which would have made you non-mafia.

You can't be that much of a noob. Baalz was a vig. When he flipped, you asked what a vigilante was and a link and description were posted with a quote to you.
You cannot be serious when you say you didn't know baalz could attack. I think you're hiding behind noobiness

I have played enough games of this nature. However, there are stark differences between this and them:

-The ones I've played were in person, so reading each other's expressions was more important than analyzing dozens of old posts. Plus they were way shorter, in 15m you could get one finished, and here we've been days for a lynch, a death and a retreat.

-In my old games, the town had a couple of lives in contrast to the mafia, which they had one, so random lynching was a sound strategy. I can't take that risk here.

-In my old games, we didn't have roles outside of evil and innocent. So I don't know what the possible habilities do, and most importantly, how do they affect the gameplay.

Also, if looking back the effects of vigilante again:

  • If visiting the same person as mafia, the Vigilante dies.
  • If shot by the mafia, Vigilante fails to kill.

Does this mean the vigilante is a town that has a shot to kill anyone he thinks is mafia? If that's the case, then my suspicions about you can only grow. If you say Baalz might have tried to take you down but failed, that means he thought you were dangerous somwehow, and only his untimely demise has saved you. So you can still be mafia after all.

Man, now that I think about it too, that was really risky to try attacking me on night 1. Most pros should know that I'm almost guaranteed to be watched or protected or something.

But I can't rule out a pro. So maybe mafia has a ninja.

What does a ninja do?
