Why are you guys so obsessed with this? Just play games and have fun.

Cause the only reason for anyone to get a ps4 pro over the regular ps4 is graphics? I mean in Canada, for $375, you can get a ps4 slim, uncharted, call of duty IW and another game where as if you want to get a ps4 pro, it is $500 with nothing else. So those of us who wants to get a ps4 need to know how much better the pro because we are spending a lot of money for the console alone. And if the upgrades aren't worth it, may as well just get the slim model.

Graphics and...

Obsessed? People are excited for an upgrade to existing games due out in a few days. If it was due in like 3-4 months I'd agree, but the week of release is a very valid time to discuss (and, on an individual level, determine whether the upgrade is worth it).

Anyone read the new info I've just posted in here?

Answers on a postcard.

I'm excited, the only thing I'm not excited about is re-downloading 1.3 TB of data again. I wish I could just swap the HD and just be over with it.

You and i both. I think you've got slightly more data to install than I do. I'm swapping my current 2tb into the Pro and putting the Pro's 1tb into my launch PS4. I think I'm just going to install as i go along. I can't do another 2 days of downloading, again.

I'm doing the same, well I'm putting 1TB in my PS3, since I'm selling my luanch PS4. I probably won't do it all at once. Just get all my save files and the games I play the most. Still a pain though.

Lot less obsessed than on NX rumor threads that popped every 5 min.

Yeah, makes me wonder if this is a case of the lottery effect with consoles.

Or maybe DF just worked their console a lot harder than anyone typically evee would. ich wouldmt be surprusing conaidering what kinda "reviews" they do.

Am i thr only one that doesmt xare about how a console sounds? Especially considerring that i dont even hear it when im actually using it. Or maybe it's because I typically use a split unit AC which has its own loud constant him all day everyday. Now that's what I call loud.

I don't bother with the noise, even more that I only hear it when I have to game on very low volume that I may perhaps hear the console.

I find comments like this ridiculous. Just flat out ridiculous. Let's look at something.

PS4 $300 (1.8TF 1080p gaming)

PS4 1TB $350 (1.8TF 1080p gaming)

XB1s 2TB $399 (1.2TF 1080p gaming+HDR)

PS4pro 1TB $399 (4.2TF 4k gaming + HDR + 1080p supersampling)

That's $50 more than a 1TB PS4 and for the same price a lot more value than a $399 XB1s.

Yet people shouldn't talk about it? We can talk about it and we will still have fun when we play games on it.

vonnecting both to a router is just an option. and not even as fast as conneting them directly to eachother.

Ah perhaps I misunderstood

Alternatively, hook up both consoles to your router via LAN cables and the entirety of your drive contents can be beamed across to the Pro. (but be warned, this may actually take longer than the drive back-up option)

Maybe DF didn't try a direct connection in their haste to get a review out.

Any chance I can just swap hard drives? Or do they have diferent operating systems? Would just be easyer to swap and update.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

No, that would be too easy
We've been asked if you can simply rip out your old HDD and implant it into the Pro - this doesn't work as all drives are encrypted, and each individual PS4 has its own encryption key.
I tried with a ylod ps3 before, installing the hdd in a new one, doesn't work. Can't read the drive either on PC.
