If I said "X game will get a patch after launch". Would you assume that the patch will come within a month after launch or sometimes next year? That's what the word "suggest" means. The info that they want to maybe do something isn't new or even newsworthy. That's the equivalent of seeing a developer type something on a keyboard and screaming "HALFLIFE 3 CONFIRMED!!!" I mean what's next? HEADLINE! UBISOFT WANTS TO MAKE ANOTHER ASSASSIN'S CREED GAME!!!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!! EA WORKING ON NEXT FIFA GAME!!!! We literally gained nothing from this article which is why I said "an article from nothing". |
"After launch" isn't what's suggestive of an immediate release. In your example of saying patch after launch, the context is obviously distinct in that we are used to day one patches or patches being released Asap to fix problems, even then you jumping to conclusions is not fault of the OP. If the title was FFXV may recieve multiplayer mode after launch, you wouldn't assume an immediate multiplayer release the following week. The inclusion of the word "may" doesn't suggest any imminent action or even confirmed plans.
"We literally gained nothing from this article"... Erm, it's quite insightful (ignoring the fact that it's a few days old), but we can agree to disagree.
