I'm not afraid of the RROD... In Sweden (as well as many other EU countries) all electronics have at least 2 years warranty, and I don't think it's a serious problem with newly produced consoles anyway.

Yeah im just paranoid 4 friends have 360 2 got RROD so far.

Anyways OT: You should really try forza 2 its prob the most fun game ive played on 360. Apart for Cod4

I don't really know your gaming taste, NJ5.

If you're interested in a 360, the first games I would recommend are Lost Odyssey and Devil May Cry 4. However, there's a solid chance you may not like those games. Ninja Gaiden 2 will be a great game, even more so than GTA. You should really look into that game.

True, I may be interested in DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 :)

My favorite genres are strategy, FPSs (at least on PC and Wii, I'll find out about dual analogs later), platformers and adventure. I'm more picky about games of other genres, but I occasionally like them too.

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

the wireless controllers won't work with windows out of the box, you need some kind of wireless reciever to make it work. even the play and charge kit doesn't let you play, it just lets you charge while connected to the pc. either get a WIRED controller, or find the wireless reciever.

Fable 2 will be an awesome adventure RPG.

As for platformers, banjo kazooie will rival SMG

One more question - can I use the 360 controller to play games on Windows? I suppose I'd need some sort of adapter for the wireless controllers... Or do wireless controllers have a socket for wired connection?

Yep. Just plug it in to a USB port and do a Windows Update to get the drivers for it.

banjo kazooie doesn't stand a chance against smg. they're in the same category, but not the same league.

Being a PC gamer, I'm going to assume you will end up favoring your PC for FPS's. The 360 doesn't have a lot (if any) stategy games, so your current platforms should be able to fill the viod in that area. Although a good game, Devil May Cry does have it's flaws -- repeated boss battles, linear gameplay, and lots of back tracking. I wouldn't consider this to be *the* game to play on the 360. You should look at DMC4 as a solid game to add to you library. If you're expecting a triple A experience, however, you're not going to find that in Devil May Cry 4. Devil May Cry's 85% score on Gamerankings.com is a very accurate score for the game.

Since you're buying the 360 for GTA, a game that you will play for a long time, the additions of DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 should be enough to justify your purchase. That's 3 games right there that you have shown interest in, and one of them is the game you have bought the system for. In my opinion, the 360 would make a great secondary console for you based on your wants.

That's a pretty bold statement since we know next to nothing about BK3 yet.. and i'm saying that as a person who currently (and probably for the remainder of the gen) regard galaxy as my favourite game this gen

OT: The three games i'd want a 360 for are BK3, Fable 2 and GTA IV, when all 3 of them come out (with no sign of PC release) i'll most likely make my purchase.. extra mention goes out to Mass Effect which is left out due to the fact that i'll be grabbing it on PC

NJ5 I would say the PS3 is a better deal than the XBox 360 with GT 5 Prologue just being released. Both GTA IV and MGS 4 (Game of the year) will be out within a month or two. Also PS3 has a lot more better games than the XBox 360. The XBox 360 is sort of like the N64 of the current generation.
