I think it's doing pretty good.

PS4 version alone is #5 on hourly, #14 on monthly and #66 on yearly.

Then we have PS4 Deluxe version at #17 hourly and #23 on monthly.

At least, the game will be profitable but I doubt it'll sell those 10 mill copies that SE hope for.

Maybe SE should've included an optional turn based battle system in addition to the real time battle system in both FFXV and DQXI. It seems like the battle system is what turns off many long time fans.

DQ will be turn based.

Oh. My mistake.

It won't sell 10 millions unless it have some very interesting post additions and it's re-launched several times, the standard initial game won't reach those sales, SE must be crazy if they are hoping for it.

Well, FF was almost never truly turn based, X is about the only one I can think to be honest, FF works around the ATB, which has Active as the first word, it was always about making quick decisions in the thrill of the battle, so going for an action oriented gameplay should not that game breaking for any FF lover, to be honest, even as I can agree having a turn based system would be nice, as I love those.

That's true. However, it seems like many long time fans still find the battle system in FFXV to lack this thrilling feel and requirement of making quick decisions. I've heard many say that they wouldn't have a problem with the real time battle system if it was deeper and more challenging like the one in DMC.

It seems like many fans loved the turn based battle system in FFX and in similar games like Lost Odyssey. I wonder why they didn't include it as an option.

PS4 Pro is doing poorly in Social Midia. No shortages, no first day lines or rush.

I´m very curious how Sony will spin this NA launch.

It will be a disaster if they are not up YoY combined sales.

Please do not regard this as neither an attack nor an attempt to drive Xbox fans away from the site. I'm trying to be constructive.

PS4 Pro just helped more than triple PS4 sales in the UK. Here's the link.
You think Pro launch in NA will be so bad that Sony will have to spin their PR.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I doubt it though. But I'm just curious to know what you're basing that on?
Of course PS4 Pro will suffer from negative PR on some social media channels like crapgamer.

Nice to know. Thanks.

I read that lots of people just didn't even get how to actually play the game on those two first demos, people saying they could do nothing while other were talking about doing lots of things while fighting, so maybe it has the depth but has not been making it clear to the standard players.

Maybe.

It'd be funny if people end up loving it and in 10 years' time regard it as one of the best innovations in the FF saga.

Well, I'm loving it already even without having played it the chance to play it, so it can happen

Hmmm. I think if Amazon gets November wrong we might as well cancel these threads. They started because Amazon had developed a 100% record for correctly predicting the NPD home console winner this generation. But that record has been busted open.

Why would there be big lines? The thing has been available for pre-order for ages, and it seems it was popular with online retailers like Amazon. Sony LTD shipments were 2 million ahead of sell through (VGC est) at the end of Sept. Most of that should be PS4P stock.

Yeah, latest few months have definitely been off. But maybe Amazon will start to have XB1 deals again that are as attractive as the ones in Gamestop and BestBuy.

If Amazon continues being wrong, I think the threads will see a natural contraction though as fewer people will be interested in the ranks. But as long as Shadow and Gribble are satisfied with the activity to the extent where they bother keep updating the ranks, the threads should be allowed to continue.

Sales discussions on VGC are a rarity nowadays so we gotta take the little we have.

Exactly. And in addition to PS4 Pro ranking high at all retailers we even have abdiel saying that PS4 Pro launch exceeded his expectations.

So again. I'm not attacking those that claim PS4 Pro will have a weak NA launch and I'm not saying they're wrong as we don't have any solid numbers yet. But I'm eager to learn what they're basing their assumptions on. If only people stayed and argued for their assumptions and opinions it'd be easier to have a constructive discussion.

The pro is not doing too hot. Sony should pack in cod infinite/modern warfare in with the pro for 349 to get it shifting.

You think Pro needs to be bundled with both COD IW and COD MW for $349 in order to sell.

A bundle with PS4 Pro + COD IW + COD MW priced at $349 would of course do gangbusters but I doubt we'll even see this kind of deal on black friday.
You say PS4 Pro had a weak launch. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just curious to know what you're basing it on.
