i dont like the look of fallout and tales seems good. All in all i would say you are correct.

Fable 2 is easily the best RPG out this year by far, but saying that it doesnt have any decent competition. the only game close to competition is tales

but we still have not seen White Knight Chronicles yet, assuming that thing is going to be out this year.

 

Just because something has no decent competition doesn't preclude it from being a damn fine product in and of itself.

To draw inspiration from a previous poster's avatar, when Tiger Woods is playing in his prime there's not a golfer in the world who can approach him. Does that mean he's mediocre just because there's no serious competition?

hahahaha nanana you got it wrong. you can more or less ask anyone on this site what i think of Fable 2 and they will all tell you the same.

I am loving Fable 2 at the moment, even my bias against the 360 can not make me hate this game. even if this game was released last year then it would still have been the best rpg in my opinion.

Fable 2 almost made me buy a 360 but that game along was not enough, funny enough me mum got me one so you know i can get the game now.

It can happen.  Some publications chose Persona 3 over Mass Effect for Best RPG of 2007 i.e. Gamespot

It can happen.  Some publications chose Persona 3 over Mass Effect for Best RPG of 2007 i.e. Gamespot

But even Persona has a far bigger brand recognition than VC.  Not to mention an enormous quality advantage.

Not sure what you are talking about since I see VC getting about just as much praise as Persona 3

It will be a good game, but i doubt it will sell extremly well. Perhaps a mil or two at best. I could be wrong.

I bet you will be.  With an Oct. 21 launch I'm calling it at least 1.5 million by the end of the year.

No, Fable was a terribly disappointing RPG. It was too short, too easy, weak story and characters, and the 'aging' feature(which was supposed to be Fable's main hook) was a gimmick and ended up hurting the immersion.

It's not enough to promise, Molineux also had made promises on the first one and when the game came it did not hold up to them.

 

Pretty much what I think. The aging feature was out of wack. 72 one day, turn off the Xbox, now I'm 63? The load times were annoying as hell and the combat was nothing special. The second will probably end up just like the first, only being a little better. The story in Fable 1 wasn't engaging or deep or none of that. There were so many features in the game that weren't explained to you (getting married, etc).I alomost beat it in a week too. I had to give the game a break to make it last....but then my brother lost the game right when I was at the end................................

 

I am reserving all hype for Fable 2 until the reviews start coming.
