IGN released their Hands-On impressions of the PS3 and PSP versions of Echochrome. New details include a grand total of 56 levels scattered across 7 difficulty levels. (A being the easiest and G being the Hardest) Also, if 56 levels seem too short, you can create your own in Canvas Mode. I'll let IGN explain the rest:
"PS3 owners will be able to construct stages that are 38 blocks by 38 blocks by 38 blocks large (so you can fully manipulate all three dimensions). What's more, you'll be able to save copies of these designs into a separate folder (known as your Echochrome Portfolio), which you can trade with friends or upload to the PSN for others to download. You won't simply be uploading a random file either; every stage that you design will be branded with your PSN ID, so people will know exactly what you worked on and how challenging it is. We were told that well designed stages may be gathered by SCE's Japan Studio to be released in other regions, making your work famous (or infamous) for its brain teasing difficulty."
I can't wait for this game. A must buy for me.
