Pretty good combo.

So with Nintendo consoles being the only ones that pretty much dont share 90% of their games with PC.

An accomplishment easy to achieve if the number of games is 10% of the competitor plattforms library.

Hunting Season is done...

Depends on the games. For me, very few games are better on console. Things like Adventure, racing games, platformers, and fighters are better on consoles. Simulation, shooters, western RPGs are better on PC. A few things like the Eastern RPG are the same no matter what console you look at.

Nintendo specializes in everything that is better on consoles. So yea, I'd take a Nintendo, PC combo any day.

PS4 and Xbox One seem to be trying to be a PC with a console controller... So I don't really have much desire to play anything they have.

As proof, before I became a Nintendo fanboy back in the PS2 era, I owned a PS2 and no I didn't own a Gamecube. I bought less games on that console than any other system I've ever played.

Depends on who it is, but you definitely can get the most variety if you went PC + Nintendo rather than another console

If you want variety, you need a PS3/PS4.

So PC + PS3 or 4 ?

Just want to chime in here...we have access to the internet and can look up numbers. According to Wikipedia, WiiU has close to 300 exclusives, 53 are retail, while PS4 has about 100 exclusives (no retail number given, and I personally don't care enough to count).

Having '90%' catalog overlap doesn't matter, what matters is are there enough exclusives (that you care about) to warrant a purchase alone.

Where did you take that 300 from? Does the Wii U honestly has 300 games overall?

Well, in a perfect world you'd own everything. I've played great games this gen on WiiU, PS4, XOne, 3DS, PSV, and PC.

But if you could only limit yourself to two ecosystems, Nintendo and PC is by far the best combo -- assuming you own a capable rig. Nintendo has, by a wide margin, the best exclusives on the market, and PC supports most of the third-party content available on PS/Xbox, in addition to its own exclusive titles. By comparison, the first-party exclusives on Xbox and PS4 are rather pedestrian. Now, PS4 does host some Japanese titles that can't be found elsewhere, e.g., Bloodborne, Nioh, and Nier Automata. Those make the Sony ecosystem more attractive than the Xbox ecosystem, but both still trail behind Nintendo and PC.

So what if you don't like or care for Nintendo games? Its all subjective at the end of the day.

lol I still get either an Xbox or PlayStation too (and eventually both), but yeah I'm more PC/Nintendo than ever.

It wouldn't have worked for much of the past (pc didn't get many console titles) but these days nearly everything worth playing releases on the PC. If I didn't have friends who only play on consoles I really wouldn't feel much incentive to buy the ps or Xbox at this point.

It seems. Nintendo for the best exclusives and PC for the third parties.
