Simple question really. We know the PS4 is going to outsell the XB1 in the US in terms of the whole year and we also know that Europe and Japan are locked down for the PS4. So what will the gap be by the time the Scorpio releases?

Assumeing its like 23-25m now.... a year from now? With the PS4 slim & PS4 Pro just releaseing?

Im guessing over 27m.

I would be surprised if a year from now, the lead didnt grow more than 2-4million units.

This would have helped if we had a proper idea how many XB1's have sold.... But just going by simple math I'll go with 27M.

The interesting thing as that by the holiday after that launch window holiday season the gap could be up to 35M.

I expect to see a $199 PS4 and $299 PS4pro by the Scorpio's launch.

+30M gap by the time Scorpio launches.

Mmmm ... I don't think the gap is that big just yet. Why do you assess it so high?

VGC has it at 21.1m atm on front page, but I wouldnt be surprised to find out numbers where off.

Still if we say in ~3 years its lead grew to over 21m.

Then it stands to reason that a year from now, it ll have grown 1/3 of that again (assumeing constant growth rates).

I think the lead will be be over 27m by then.
