Forums - Sony - Andrew House: We've seen that video streaming is more popular

I feel they should have included it cover all their bases, but if that $15-20 4k Blur-ray drive is the difference between them making a profit at $399 then I completely understand.

Next gen get rid of disks completely. They simply can't keep up with the speed requirements of games. Hoping for a cartridge breakthrough

Around the Network

Great decision by Sony. They're not the winner of the generation by a county mile for no reason. I think they've played a blinder. Cheap slim and a premium console with a full year without competition.

There was article about the XBox One S, that showed that a UHD player costs them an extra $15.50 over just a normal BD player.

This should cost less for Sony to implement, since they like own blu ray. So $10-15 or so.

PS+ just increased by $10 a year did it not?

Seems like they covered themselves there.

The defense of Sony not including it, reminds me of when they dropped BC. You have the sheeple saying "what you want old games for, use your old system."

Now they are saying "What do you want to buy movies for, just buy another standalone"

Ok fine, I'll buy a stand alone. You guys do realize that the cheapest player on the market is the One S. Meaning you guys are telling me to buy a One S.
