Forums - Politics - Obama cancels meeting after insult from Philippines president

As long as the Philippines borders are open to tourists, it's not just an internal affair. And what is the punishment for wrongfully killing a person "suspected" of being a drug dealer or drug user? I haven't been able to find info on that. It doesn't seem like there's much deterring people from comitting these murders.

That's been going for 30 years before this administration even started. I just want to make that clear that this did not happen majically.

Also, foreigners got kidnapped and beheaded by the Abu Sayaf during the past administation (some are still held captive, if I'm not mistaken) but we didn't hear anything about the US President, UN or any other human rights wanting to lecture our former President?

You guys know why? Because there wasn't any opposition spreading misinformation towards the global media. Everything was kept under wraps while we the people die from poverty, crime and freaking corruption and now suddenly people care? Please don't be misinformed, ask us people on the ground who is living here for the real details and this is coming from a guy who usually don't care (you guys seen how I post here) but the spread of lies is so bad, I just had to say my 2 cents.

Edit: Last part wasn't directed at you Hiku bro, I just wanted to add that ^^

Anyway I'm done with this. There's so much I want to say but I don't want to ass myself just so I can barely explain the very nature of this complex and deep rooted corruption in our country. Nevertheless if you think it's unsafe I can't blame you. I also won't try to convince you otherwise.

You cannot give up, the spread of misinformation is so bad that if we stop then a lot of people will get misinformed.

The mass media has done this for 30 years and got away with it. If we want our country to get up on its ass then we better make sure people don't get misinformed. Especially, the people who do not live here and is just giving their 2 cents on a situation they don't know the reality about.

What Duterte say we cannot defend, he's like a drunken, crude and very old grand pa. We just have to accept that part.

I missed taking advantage of America's 2008 economic crisis, I really need to get on this crisis and invest in some stock. Didn't their economy crash due to what he said?

No the market is correcting and everything else is speculation.

We are expected to grow 5.1% this year.

Just so there isn't any doubt. There is a good quote here by an economic analyst on our country.
