I really liked the SNES graphics. I dunno why, it's just, they look better to me. I just hope they don't go to far with 3d graphics on handhelds.

Basically a lot more can be achieved in a 3D environment, just compare GTA vs GTA 4. 3D worlds are better able to drag the player into the experience.
I love many 2D games, Super Mario World, the fancy Galaga remake Warblade, the fancy Turrican remake Hurrican, classic c64 and Amiga games, etc. But such games are less demanding and are more suitable for online distribution due to small files sizes. The PSN has some good 2D games, Dark Myst looks interesting.

QFT. Theres plenty of idiots that will go and buy a game they know nothing about cause it has "sick graphics." Theres people that just cant play thier old PS2 games cause they cant deal with the graphics no matter how good the game is. I miss 2D and still find it in small doses via DS and DLC.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It's absolutely great to have graphics as good as you can get them. However if gameplay is poor, I will just take the game back.
