So I tried starting the game up, says updating, then this message pops up. Any one having the issue or know how to fix it?

Turns out it's a U.S. server issue

From someone who had the same error from the steam forums:

I tried deleting everything except for steamapps and the exe and that didn't work.

I just changed my download region to Brazil and tried to install again and it finally picked up all the files I had on my hard drive. Strange error since I had tried quite a few different download servers in Europe. I don't see how changing to one on a different continent would fix this.
